The Fuveau Fire and Rescue Center’s open house features a rich and varied program. Watch road rescue drills, small vehicle fire drills, and youth firefighter drills. Explore booths showcasing firefighter uniforms through the ages, scale models, vintage and modern vehicles, as well as the K-9 unit and USAR team. Learn life-saving techniques with the UDSP and RCSC. Numerous activities are planned: vehicle tours, a tour of the fire station (by registration), a “junior firefighter” course, a mini fire simulator, art exhibitions, a rock-climbing workshop, and a workshop on the firefighting profession. Food stands and refreshment booths will be available throughout the day.
